what a futile attempt

tonight I attempted to make something artistic, and I failed. multiple times in rapid succession.
one piece I may be able to salvage but at this point I doubt it. I hate it but I am hoping that the light of day tomorrow will make it look better than it looks to me right now. I have already scrapped three pieces of watercolor and two pieces of wood. my heart is racing and I am very angry and frustrated. I guess tonight is not my night and the muses have abandoned me for better company.

I was going to post a pic or two of what I was trying to salvage but it looks even worse in picture form.

maybe I will be able to do something tomorrow.

Instead here is something unrelated from long ago.

...

This morning I woke up with an unmistakable sense of dread. My hands are shaky and my mind is racing. I don't know where this feeling is coming from or why there is a tightness in my chest. Nothing has changed since yesterday, nothing that I know of anyways. I got home late last night after watching a movie with Nick and slept fairly well. So where is this feeling coming from and what the hell am I supposed to do with it?

Sunrise and a view from the balcony

not much else to say is there.

The future

I feel a creative urge to do something, sparked in part by a wonderful evening of new people and good conversation. I think I am going to try and actually start posting something interesting on here more often. Maybe more pictures, maybe more writing, maybe a little of both? What do you think? What would you like to see more of?

I had a dream last night that I drank the last of a glass of orange juice only to find a spider dead at the bottom
I threw the glass to the ground in disgust
And watched as the spider came back to life and walked up the wall opposite me.

Good news, Repo is here.

For all of those people out there who have, as I have, longed to have a reason to love Sarah Brightman that time is now, the reason: Repo the Genetic opera. Not only do you not even realize its her but her character is pretty nifty. She can shoot singing holograms from her eyes!!
SINGING!
HOLOGRAMS!
FROM!
HER!
EYES!
Add to this that she is singing to more industrial type music and I must say folks, we have a winner.

As an even better bonus prize you will now have something in common with just about everyone over 65.

Cute or . . .

I woke up the other day and you were kneeling next to my bed breathing heavily and acting like a rabbit. Is there something you want to tell me? Did I just not get the meaning behind the gesture?

An empty space

This was a corner of Disneyland that gets overlooked all the time. You walk by it every time you go but can anyone tell me where in the park this is? I liked the emptiness of it.

to date

This is hands down one of my most favorite pictures I have ever taken. It was taken at the ESPN bar down town Disney a few years ago on an excursion there with Brenae and Sky.

neu music

Bit o back story:

I love music, I can't play any instrument other than very very bad violin, I have a pretty good singing voice I have over 780 CD's from just about every style not to mention the stuff on my computer. I don't ever really play out something or get sick of it, that's the beauty of being so diverse, I encourage anybody out there reading this to listen to something different every now and then, you may find something amazing that you might have missed, I know half the stuff I listen to now I gleaned from my friends and colleges.

Now the problem:

Recently I have come into a lot of new stuff to listen to and now I have a problem-what do I listen to first?
Fischerspooner?
Depeche Mode?
Royksopp?
Killers?
Fol Chen?
Yeasayer?
IAMX?
bootleg remixes?

How do I decide what to play in my car and at home and work for the next couple of day? Do I just try them one by one in order i received them? Do I listen to a little bit of each and decide what I would probably be blaring out my car window any given day? Do I say fuck it and just breakout the Beatles and Nirvana.
I guess the fact that all I have been listening to the past few weeks is Fischerspooner and a handful of amazing(in my opinion) remixes.

Ultimately it doesn't matter I know eventually I will listen to them all.

You should to.

If I mated with a pumpkin and through that unnaturally blasphemous union we were able to produce a child, this is what he may took like. . . . . . . . .
What shall I name him?
